Invest in a Jump Rope

One of the most important pieces of equipment a basketball player can have is a jump rope.

The use of a jump rope will develop your kid’s stamina, leg strength, agility and coordination, timing, quickness, and hand-eye coordination. All of these are extremely important to becoming a good basketball player.

When starting out, have your kid use the jump rope 3 times per week. Each session includes jumping for 60 seconds, 3 times with a 30-second break.
