As I walked into my home yesterday, my precious daughter (Sophia) was in tears. Listen, I consider myself a tough-minded person, but when my daughter is upset, I can’t explain it, I get this feeling of rage inside.
I asked Sophia, “What’s wrong?!” She expressed our miniature schnauzer (15-year-old dog) was acting funny. I went to check it out. Turns out, the dog was exhibiting signs that father-time is getting to him.
That hurt me, not just because the dog was feeling the effects of getting old, but because of the negative impact it would have on my daughter.
My wife and I rushed the dog to the emergency dog hospital (last night). Other than giving the dog some pain and anti-inflammatory medication for his back, the veterinarian instructed us to allow dog to rest.
I’m praying the dog comes out of this.
